I’m convinced the difference between a successful business owner and a struggling one is: mindset.
You can take 100 Chiropractors with the same level of good looks, adjusting skills, office location and layout, practice building tools, staff, etc. and there will always be a top 5%.
The top 5%
possess more confidence, self esteem, and self awareness
possess more drive
are more disciplined
have a better attitude
take full responsibility (don’t whine)
masters of time management and delegation
and most of all…
EXHIBIT RESILIANCY
What does that have to do with NOT working half days and taking every Friday off?
EVERYTHING.
Because, if YOU don’t think you can or should, then you suffer from a LACK of everything mentioned above.
Working half days makes NO sense. (Neither does working Fridays)
Listen, if you think “the rich” work 10 times more or harder than you, you’re mistaken. Actually the opposite is true. Now that you have a practice and are a PBA doctor, why wouldn’t you work 4 full days and play the rest of the time?
Money is only part of the equation. The other is enjoying the limited amount of time you and I have left on this planet.
Working half days is not as productive or efficient.
When SHOULD you work half days?
You should work half days ONLY IF…
You are just starting a practice and you are dead broke. If that’s the case, work IN the office 3-4 afternoons and in the morning, meet people and build your list so we can market to them for you.
(But, did you notice that you STILL will be working full days, not half days?)
See, being IN the office doesn’t necessarily mean that you’re work’n.
The key is productivity and NOT the # of hours that you “clock in”.
